Okay, I"m not sure if this thread has been done before but I was wondering what people do for a living, and if is wasn't there all time dream, what they'd rather be doing for a living.

For me right now I work in a deli but it isn't my occupation seeing how I am only 18. But my dream, is to be a theatrical performer.

Have you ever been on a stage...? The master of emotion for hundreds... marked by unblinking eyes all waiting for you to lead them, to show them the way out of this world, and to deliver them into another? Oh to harness passion and ride it like a stallion! It could only be done in theatre... glorious magnanimous theatre! To sing, to dance, to cry and romance, or fly by the face of another... to laugh, enchant, to shout sonnets or incantations... to be all you could ever be in the most eloquent manor nakid before the world, masked behind a character... I don't beelive I can capture the spirit of theatre with mere words... you'll have to experiance yourself. And If you have, if you truly have, I'm sure you understand and can at least smile at my, pitiful effort of description. Anyway, that's my reality, and dream job! :D How about yours?

Below here is a link to picture of all my friends in Europe who are theatrical performers. The one on the far right is an opera singer, and also happens to be my boyfriend. ;)

Mod Edit: There was code error for the image which I have had to remove as it was making the whole page go silly.

Uhh... no I don't. Come on, oh ye the great potent one, tell us what your childhood (and maybe manhood still) dream was or is!

Currently working at a brewery, 3 days to go, then a month free and then back to school.

My childhood dream was to become a vetrenarian, but when I grew older I lost my interest in animals.

I want to here Ogg's dream, too :)

I am a 3rd year (well, term starts in a month) medical student, and my lifelong dream is to be a surgeon, so i may actually get my wish!

I write press releases, adverts, articles and brochures for a bank... Gee I'm fulfilled... And manage a team of investment sellers... I ROCK...

I really wanted to make it in music... And later started writing...

Being a successful writer would be cool because you live the life you want, get to do what you love, get the money, but you don't have all the fame issues unless you want it...

I don't know what most of my fave authors even look like, they could be standing in front of me at the check-out and I wouldn't have a clue...

One night I wished upon a star that I would become... a dishwasher. Now at the ripe age of fifteen, I have completed that dream. My life is now complete and I can pass into the afterlife happy. Seriously though, for a long time I wanted to be a zoologist. But then I realized if I wanted to make squat for money, I should do what I love. Write. My true dream is to write for a living. I know it is unlikely, but that is what I hope to attain.

You worded that nicely enough to make me laugh out loud, but on the serious side it does sound interesting, and not so bad.

It's pretty cool, especially as I am the BOSS...

But I think anything gets boring when you really... Really, really... Want to do something you love...

If I got the same money for working in a deli I would, I can't eat investments... :D
