It's June. You all know what that means, right? Ittttt'ssssss SUMMER!!

That's right boys and girls! School's out, time to hit the beach, hike the highest hills, make camp by pristine alpine lakes, take a load off and watch the stars pinwheel through the night sky.

But what's that you say? You also want to get some work done on that novel you've been struggling with the past six months? Longer?? Oh, you have a short story? And a flash fiction you want to write? You'd finish these on your own, of course, but it might be ages before you do. Maybe you'd do it sooner if there was someone out there to help and encourage you? Well, my friend, you've come to the write place. This thread was made for you!

Yes, this is the June thread for all of those wanting to write something (anything!) this month. So toss up your goals and I'll make a graph. Together with summer sun, inspiration, a bit of luck and each other, we'll get it done!

I didn't do anything I was supposed to last month, and I don't think I'll get anything done this month, so I'll keep it simple:

Complete half the myriad of editing/re-writing tasks on what will become the 3rd official draft of my novel.
Submit at least one query to agent/publisher.

Congrats to everyone who managed to complete their tasks last month! :)

- Write five chapters of WIP.
- Plan out next five chapters.
- Submit to the flash fiction competition (which will go up as soon as I get the official go-ahead from Rich).

Good luck everyone! June's our month, I can feel it.

After much humming and hawing, I've finally decided to pull myself together and start writing.

To get started, I bought three cheap notebooks, two USB sticks and some fancy pens.

Now all I need to do is write. *sigh*

Oh boy. I completely belly flopped last month, so let's see.

1. 10,000 words toward my book
2. Flash fiction submission
3. Come up with a Short story idea
4. Short story from my WIP universe for practice

Well since last month wasn't very successful my goals are still the same and I need to be productive on reaching them.

1. Finish final edit with editor and send the book out to publisher by end of month.

2. Work on second edit of book 2 and get it ready for editor

3. Write a FF for here.

I hereby solemnly swear that for the month of June my goals shall be to finally tell Valevia's story.

Awesome! Sounds like we've got a lot going on. As for me, my goals are:

1) 5,000 words on the WIP
2) 5,000 words on rewrite of WIP's prequel
3) Edit/rewrite personal Short Story/Novella from last fall with the goal of submitting in July

And, lastly, to keep up with what's going on here and help you guys reach your goals. Yes! June is going to be our month!
