As we are 'sharing the love' with threads like Who are you really? (my favourite posted than one:o ) I was wondering if any of you guys have ever met up?

It's obvious that we have a strong crew in the UK, a whole bunch of Ozzies and a pocket of Canadians. Well, pretty much someone from every continent (we even have penguins!!!).

I used to belong to a 'Live-Action Role-Play (lunatics with latex swords) forum' and we used to meet up for book signings and F/SF seminars. It was really cool to meet the people you chat to.

What about you Mods, have you all met each other or is everything virtual?

I'm not sure what your thoughts are on this, many on the forum mentioned above wanted to keep everyone else at arm's length, which I fully understand. What do you guys think?

BTW I am still best mates with one guy I met at a London meet...

Well, I know Jacquin *g*

In fact I have known him for three years. We met in person last May, since then he has become part of my family....

That is, drinking my beer and eating me out of house and home.

I have met various members of the forum far, far away I moderate. I have met them at events, been invited into their homes and made very welcome.

I have played host to one american member and hope to play host to Talaith, when she comes over in the spring...

Not met any of the members here but maybe one day... :p

Never met anyone from the forums yet (not any of the current active members at least), but I will definitely try to drop by some of the mods/staff if I happen to be in their neighbourhood.

I guess we all could meet at the first SFFWorldCon ;)

Now that would be an awesome party!!

I'll volunteer my house (Shanonica's house too, incidently since we live in the same house). It's a bit cramped, but we could always hang out in the back yard. We'll barbeque some chicken and rent a giant hot tub. :D :D

Who's in?

LOL.
Holbrook, always a pillar of strength for his fellow countrymen...:)

But if you truly want to cool Juzzza down you're going to have to lug heavy, cumbersome buckets of ice water into just about every thread. Are you sure you want to commit yourself to such a monumental undertaking? :D

Oi, I resent that Miri, I leave the Sci Fi and the Art forums alone completely... usually... I mean during the week... Or is it in leap years?
