PKD Print vs. Film

I have just finished watching Impostor and Minority Report. I really enjoyed both of them. Same goes for Total Recall, and Blade Runner. However, I thought none of these really portayed a PKD story/novel accurately. Especially the humour that PKD uses so well.
With the upcoming version of Flow my Tears the Policeman Said, I am both excited and nervous. Does anyone agree or am I talking out of my ---.

I couldn't agree more. Even the great Blade Runner fails in its attempt to interpret and show those who watch the movie PKD's idiosyncratic use of irony.
I didn't know Flow My Teras... is to be made on the big screen. Is there info on the project somewhere? And whatever happened to the A Scanner Darkly movie?

A Scanner Darkly is in development with Section 8 films owned by George Cloooney & Steven Soderburgh. Also PKD's 1953 short story King of the Elves is being developed by Disney & Henson Co.
I am looking for the source of information of the Flow my Tears production when I find it, I'll let you know. It seems to me that I read it in one of the many mags. I read. It may have just been a rumour.

Depends on who is attached to the project when adapting PKD's work. I have yet to see minority report, but was very dissapointed in Impostor. But that is just MHO!

According to an interview I found:

"Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said was optioned by Paramount for Tom Cruise's production company and I (John Alan Simon) did a re-write under Oliver Stone's supervision. There should be some new developments to announce soon on that project."

The pkd site at http://www.philipkdick.com doesn't seem to have any new updates about either movie in the news section.

Thank you, hclark.

I was starting to think I made the whole thing up. Interesting interview. A french version of Confessions of a Crap Artist? That is my favourite PKD novel. I'll have to find and watch that. Has anyone heard of it or seen it? I hope it has subtitles. I hate dubbed movies.

I haven't seen it yet, but I've heard from some hardcore PKD fans that the movie is very good.

I have liked the movies mentioned, but as far as I'm concerned none of the works that have been turned into movies have been even in my top 10 PKD books. I am very interested to see how "...Scanner Darkly" and "Flow my Tears..." turn out as these are pretty high up on my list of PKD books.

does anyone know a place where a copy of Confessions of a Crap Artist the movie can be found? I don't remember the french for the title.
