I'm with Road-Killer. I like SG-1. It seems to think out its alien worlds more logically than, for example, Star Trek. I also think think the chemistry among the characters is better. Also, "Mmmmm, G'oauld Tee-vee" was easily the best line of the 98-99 tv season.

OK, what about some good SF movies you guys have seen... I'm talking about those little-known gems that not everyone knows about.

Generally, those little-known movies are totally crap, thats why there little-known.

I have to agree with Road-Killer on this one. There are some pretty cheesy, low budget scifi movies out there that are really bad. Most were produced in the late 70's - early 80's back when scifi was just starting to mainstream as a result of the phenomenal popularity of Star Wars.

*grin* Did anyone else out there see b-grade movie named 'Krull'? I was young when I saw it but for some reason it has stuck in my brain (or the tiny remnants thereof...). Thinking back it must have been pretty darned tacky, but it was great fun http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

Yeah! I remember that stellar example of cinematic art. :-) I was pretty young when I saw it too and at that time I was just happy to see anything in the scifi/fantasy genre. Looking back it was pretty lame.

Does that mean that that there are no good science-fiction movies that I haven't seen http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/frown.gif Now that's sad. Well, I picked up a few names from another website, and I'll check them out whenever I get some time...
