All though this forum I see digs and gipes against the Sword of Truth series and would like to see them set down in detail. What makes Goodkind so much worse than the other epic style fantasy Eddings, Feist, Jordan, Martin etc.
I will except that some just don't like Goodkind's stuff and thats fine. But what are the points that create out and out hatred in some of this Forums most respected members.

Do I hear a can of worms opening?

Seriously, read through the archives. This topic has come up many times before, and mostly people will just be reiterating the same points they have in the past.

In all probability a massive fight will break out, and the mods will spend most of their time monitoring this thread instead of doing useful stuff.

I don't mind Goodkind, though the last book sucked.

Yeah, what the second guy said. And yeah, what the third one said, too. Goodkind is a decent read, I don't mind him. The last book was hideously awful IMHO and left a real bad taste, however, so now I'm a bit more wary in recommending him. Nuff said.

Thank you Eventine. If I wasn't so busy at work to day, I'd get the links in this topic.

What's so bad about Goodkind (http://www.sffworld.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1913&highlight=Goodkind)

Plus these for "Sword of Truth"

Correction Red Eagle! Last 3 books sucked. Book 4 was good and sucked simultaneous. So one part of his works is excellent, next part sucks. Unfortunately the part which sucks is getting bigger and bigger with each book by him... I think that there will be 3 books - excellent, 2 - not so good and 5, 6 or 7 (or how many he decides to write) - suck.
