Have any of you guys totally disliked an author, or totally dispised of someone's work? Well here's the place where you can expressyou hatred to some of your least favorite authors. My personal worst is Diane Duane, author of such horrific tales as The Dark Lord of Dernholm, and the "Wizard" series. Enjoy, and "let loose your anger"!

-From Darth Vader, Star Wars

Irene Radford - how the hell did that crap ever get published?
Dennis McKiernan - does he have even the slightest hint of originality to his books?
R.A. Salvatore - just can't get into his stuff. What's with this romanticism about living in the woods without anything but the hard ground as your bed?
Sharon Green "The Blending"- what utter crap. She wrote the same story 5 times in probably all 5 books (only could stomach 1 1/2 of them).
David Eddings - Wrote the same series 4 times with pretty blue rock that contains near infinite power and it can only be touched by one person. And pretty stone has red counterpart, and they will decide fate of universe. He then did it all over again with "Redemption of Althalus", but this time instead of pretty stone, it was a Book-and of course a cast of wise cracking, aren't we droll, too bad the bad guys are so ugly and stupid heroes that don't even come close to working up a sweat in saving the world.

I'll say Katherine Kurtz because I could not tell her characters apart.

Catherine Cookson, as in I have written myself into a corner type story and well lets pull out "cop out ending mark 76A"

Any Mills and Boon writer.... any bodice ripper writer, especially the so called historical ones how have Normans eating potatoes!!!!

Nero,
if you mean 'Dark Lord of Derkholm' - that was written by Dianne Wynne Jones not Diane Duane!

I don't know if Diane Duane wrote a book called The Dark Lord of Dernholm, but I do know that Diana Wynne Jones wrote a book called The Dark Lord of Derkholm -- perhaps that is the book you are referring to?

Hmm, worst authors ever ... Nicholas Sparks, or anyone who writes sappy love stories where people always die at the end.

Aw, you're such a romantic, Shan. ;)

My 2-cents? Sharon Green (Blendings) and Terry Goodkind (SOT). Damn good covers, lousy stories.

I am though, and that's why I despise those who turn it into fluff... true passion hits you hard like a thousand slashing swords, and a million crushing rocks... and it hurts so good
