Snow?

Okay, I didn't do a search because I couldn't even think of what to search for. So...here it goes...

While killing time in a library last summer, I picked up what I think was a single-author, short story anthology - I think. Not entirely sure.

Either way, I read the first story and was completely freaked out by it. I noticed the time had gotten away on me, quickly shelved the book and intended to come back to it. But...the library rearranged the sections and books! I have no idea what the title or author or editor of the book might be.

Might you?

Here's what I remember about the story:

Lots of snow.

The world is getting increasingly snowed under.
A group of men and women in a house are trapped there.
The story opens with one (or maybe two) of 'em finding the blood-splattered remains of one of 'em in the snow near the house.
Something is killing them off one by one.
A group sets out to find help.
They come back defeated by the amount of snow and the alluring, almost invisible creatures in the snow.
They eventually all die, but not before finding out that one of them was helping the creatures get at them and in return getting some carnal pleasure.
The last two survivors end up in the attic.

Any clue?

"White" by Tim Lebbon.

It was in at least one Year's Best collections a few years back. Also in White, and Other Tales of Ruin and, I think, Fears Unnamed which was a mass market paperback put out by Leisure. (Relying on memory for that last, but I think that was the Leisure title.)

I can understand why you remember it. It's powerful.
