Has anyone ever read Bone Walk by Kevin Howe? I just finished it and I am curious as to what other readers think about it.

I would be happy to. It was published by Firelight Publishing, a small press that prints only a few books a year. They are pretty new. It is the author's first novel. I read it last week for a specific reason at the request of the publisher, and I am just really curious to hear some other people's opinions of it before I give mine. It is well written, very well edited and very nicely printed and packaged.
The main character is a gnomish scribe named Thomas Shepard and he becomes the unlikely hero of the book. It is a very quick read - i read it one afternoon.

Sounds good, can you buy it in Canada? :)

I am sure you can buy it in Canada. In fact, the publisher is in Sublimity, Oregon if you happen to be in western Canada. maybe you can order it from them. Here is their email: http://www.firelightpublishing.com/

You can ask them who stocks it. They sent me a promotional copy, so I really can't tell you who carries it.

It is interesting. It is very different from most of the fantasy in the market today. It is certainly very different from what I write!
What impressed me so about it was how nicely finished it was. As a writer, I notice these things. Another Publisher sent me a promo copy of a book they just published and it was awful! the paper was a terrible quality, the binding was weak, the print was difficult to read etc. etc. This one, on the contrary, was impressive in that respect.

I am anxious for someone else's opinion about it.
