Imagine for a moment that you are about the be plunged into a Fantasy world. You are about to be put right in the middle of an epic fantasy. The details of your situation are not important, except for the fact that you will be setting out on a QUEST! Since many of our favorite Fantasy novels use the cliche of a fellowship setting out on a quest, who would you choose to be in your own custom fellowship? Besides yourself, let's say you can have eight companions. Choose them from your favorite novels, and tell me why!

My own fellowship would consist of:
1. Gandalf - LOTR
2. Strider/Aragorn - LOTR
3. Belgarath - Belgariad & Mallorean
4. Rand al'Thor - WoT
5. Sir Sparhawk - Elenium & Tamuli
6. Legolas - LOTR
7. Silk - Belgariad & Mallorean
8. Lan Mandragoran - WoT

Wow. That would be pretty good company.

Eight characters for my very own fellowship you say? Hmmm...

1: Druss - The First Chronicles of Druss the Legend
2: Ilkar - The Chronicles of the Raven
3: Colbey Calsitinsson (sic) - The Renshai tales
4: Veldan - Books of the Shadowleague
5: Kaz - Books of the Shadowleague
6: A'Lan Mandragoran - WOT
7: Commander Samuel Vimes - Guards, Guards
8: Duvodas - Dark Moon

Damn that was difficult. I left out several of my favourite characters because they either work best alone or are not especially suited to a quest.

Let me see. This shouldn't be too hard.

1)The chick at the end of "Heavy Metal" the movie
2)Birgitte (need an archer, right? Think I'll go with the hot, blonde woman rather than Legolas)
3)The heroine of Jacqueline Carey's book Kushiel's Dart
4)Gandalf
5)Perrin Aybara
6)Rhapsody
7)Thomas Covenant (after he learns that he is the White Gold)
8)Saltheart Foamfollower

It was harder than I thought.

Thanks Love! :D I would like nothing more then to plunge into the cold grasping depths of darkness with you at my side, ingniting intrigue in the danger of the night.

My fellowship, aside from myself would consist of...

1 - FEANOR the spirit of fire, darkest, maddest, bravest, boldest elf of all!!!! 'nuff said.
2 - Gandalf the White on Shadowfax.
3 - Aragorn / Juzzza (Same thing to me... need something when those nights get cold)
4- Jiriki with lavender hair! Cool.
5- Seoman Snowlock!!!
6-Galadriel in all her creepy, beautiful glory.
7- Josua the one handed
8- Legolas the imortal arrow

So, bet you can't guess what my favourite books were eh! :D

Belgarath - wizard type
Lan - who doesn't kow why? :D
Jimmy the hand - you never know when you'll need a good thief
Jarlaxle - a little drow practicality never hurt anyone (ok, so it has)
Danilo Thann - comic relief
Sandor Clegane - have to have him
Amos Trask - best pirate ever
Artemis Entreri - one of my favorite characters
