If you think it is then I thought you might want to see this. It is one of my favourite photos taken on Rannoch Moor (Highlands of Scotland) on Christmas day 2000.

Thanks for humouring me...

Here however is something I did recently just to ensure this is actually on topic.http://www.albionacademyofarmes.org/images/bluepic.jpg

Yes.. photography is most definitely art... I use to do a lot a few years back... and some off the classes I took used to blow me away with some of the images I got to see... using light and filters to create an atmosphere in what would be just a run off the mill photograph... and it is all about composition as well.

Both the above are excellent IMHO. :D

'zactly!
One day I hope to see places like the Scottish highlands - photos like this remind me why this is so.

Before I comment... what camera was used... was it SLR, and the type of film stock... also what time of day?

Ohh... and are these scanned photos??

Great beautiful photos. Where ever these were taken it is beautiful there. Though I know nothing of cameras and equipment gentlemen I am susceptile to a talented person's photographic eye.

Hi Cadfael

I can't tremember the film type of the top of my head, I use many, I am fairly sure it was ISO100 though...

The camera was my Pentax SLR, would you believe I can't remember the model number... it was fitted with a simple UV filter though.

The pictures are scanned but the colours have not been altered in any way. They are very much faithfull reproductions of the original pics.

I will get more details for you once I get home....

Take Care

J

Edited to add: The first was taken about midday, and the second two were taken late afternoon.
