Hi!
Recently, I found on my bookshelf a book called "Aurian" by Maggie Furey, which I have bought some years ago out of reasons I don't remember. It seems to be the first part of a series concerned with some ancient artifacts or something like that...has anybody read this one? Can you recomment it?

I've read it and would call it fairly good light fantasy. Books 1 and 2 of the series were really good, IMO, and books 3 and 4 were pretty good as well though not as interesting as the first part of the series. I enjoyed the magic system and the main female character's storyline.

Totaly agree with Lady Fox the first book is the highlight of the series. The characters ,and the books are very much character driven, are well done and intresting. The plot losses direction in the later books but the are many well done scenes which manage to keep you reading evan with the flaws.

I haven't read 'Aurian', but i've read a couple from her newer series (The Spirit of the Stone, or sth???)

Not brilliant, but with quite an unusual main theme, and good enough that i bought the second, and will probably get the third when it arrives.
