Has anyone else seen the movie "The Navigator".

It is a New Zealand production in which a middle ages Welsh village is threatened with the black death. A boy dreams that by forging a cross and placing it on a tall church spire they may save the village. The way to the land of the church is down the mine. They emerge into modern day New Zealand to fulfill the vision.

I thought it was a great movie that left you thinking, as what was real and what was vision was not always clear.

I'm interested to see if other people have seen it, as it seems that these brilliant (IMHO) little films are often overlooked and overshadowed by Hollywood hype.

I've seen it in the video stores and thought about renting it many times but somehow never did. I'm hoping that I'll see it on TV sometime.

I saw it about 5 years ago and thought it was pretty cool at the time.
I can't remember too much about it now though, apart from the basic plot.
I din't realise it was a kiwi movie though...
