I am trying to find a title of a book I read about 3 years ago.I do not know the author,only what it was about.Hopefully if I decribe it someone will know...so here goes.....
This book was set about now and involved aliens attacking the earth periodically through history.It was millions of years between events.The only evidence was found in geologic remains...it seems that each time they came through the system they would "harvest" a portion of eart to provide food for their fleet.
A archeologist found evidence of this....and earth fought them.
There is supposed to be a sequel due about now.

Sounds like that John Ringo series, "Dancing with the Devil(?)" or maybe Weber's Mutineer's Moon series. U can go to www.baen.com to check on this

Or maybe it's the Kristine Katherine Rusch and Dean Wesley Smith The Tenth Planet series. All three of those are out now.
