I am sorry to be the bearer of such news, but Robert Jordan has delayed his tenth book until January 7, 2003. This could be good or bad; bad for people waiting for the next, but good in a way that RJ is hopefully making this perfect. I mean, look at the cover on Amazon.com. It's pretty cool looking.

That's not good at all. However, I remember hearing about this a while back. I'm between books 3 and 4 right now (taking a break from the series), though, so it'll take me a while to get up to book 10.

10 BOOKS! Wow... nice series figure. You've sparked my interest. Would you care to share with me a little bit the series, and why I should read 1-9 before the january release ??? :)

You shouldn't Shan. Stay away from 'em. If you start them now, your whole life will be lost and all you will know and care for is a sorry boy named Rand Al'thor. Don't. Enough minds have been fried already from these horrificly long books.
Of course, if you're up to it, go ahead. But trust me, your head hurts after memorizing all the names and clans and bad guys.
But other then that, they're great books! :D :D

It's been delayed once. Why the again? November was always the official date. Any other date was just rumour or speculation.

I was under the impression, from other news groups and discussions (on various web pages) that this was the 3rd time.

The only official date ever given was November. Perhaps your confusing RJ with GRRM:p .
