Science Fiction Series Search

I'm trying to find the title and author of a science fiction series. The series deals with "Flingers", individuals who are able to mentally teleport themselves, others, equipment, etc. through space (planet to planet). The lead character's name is either McGill Feighan or Feighan McGill. Any one familiar with this series? I believe there were 4 books in the series. Should have been published late 80's early 90's. I've got a free lunch riding on this, so I'd appreciate any help.

Here you go..from the web...

O'Donnell Jr., Kevin. The Journeys Of McGill Feighan series:Caverns, Reefs, Lava, Cliffs. In this series, there exists 'Flingers', people charged with the duty of teleporting people from star to star. There are many interesting twists such as a precise mass cutoff while 'flinging', a strict maximum on the number of 'flings' per day, as well as the
fact that a 'flinger' must have visited a place in order to Fling someone else to it. The 'Flinger' must go with cargo and or passengers and the limit for extra weight is exactly 918 kilograms.

Hmmm...what's on the menu? http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif
