I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but here goes...
I was wondering if anyone could help me track down a book. I don't remember the author's name or the book's title, so there isn't much to go on but the plotline.
It is a scifi book that came out in the 80s (I think). The premise is that a spaceship crashes during the days of the Roman Empire. The sole survivor is an alien killer (or animal?). The alien killer is in turn hunted by a Roman hunter, who traps animals for the gladiatorial contests. The book is mostly about hunt and the conflict between the Roman and the alien. That, I'm afriad, is all I can remember about it.
