Anyone know the status of the "Good Omens" movie?

Good evening, everyone. :)

I'm just wondering if any of you know what's happening with Good Omens, the film based on the wonderful Neil Gaiman/Terry Pratchett novel of the same name. I was under the impression that Terry Gilliam was directing the film and shooting had already started, but now I read on the IMDb that it's been shelved.

I find that sad, because in the right hands this book would have made a terrific movie. Does anyone out there know the scoop?

Not sure on current status - I think they needed a certain amount of the funding to be from an American studio? (they already had the rest, but maybe it was part of some obligatory filming requirement?)

I may be way off beam!
