Hi, im sort of new here, and i was wondering if anyone could give me a few suggestions as to what to read next? =D To give you an idea of what i like heres what ive read so far: All of the Star Trek Novels, All of the Star Wars novels, the Dune series, Star Fist series by David Sherman & Dan Cragg, Area 51 Series by Robert Doherty, Mars Series by Kim Stanley Robinson, various Arthur C. Clark novels, and the first of the Foundation and Robot series by Isaac Asimov. Any suggestions would be very welcome.

Thanks.

I would recommend you try 'Ender's Game' by Orson Scott Card, and anything by John Wyndham.......for starters!

If you like military sf, I'd take a step up to the "big boys" like S.M. Stirling, D. Drake, J. Pournelle, E. Flintand L. Niven. Along the lines of Sherman and Cragg are: Ian Douglas, J. Dalmas, Rick Shelley, Chris Bunch (Last Legion series) and W. Keith (Warstrider series). You should also check the thread here about space operas, some good series there. If you want to get into some longer series, look into Weber's Honor Harrington and Turtledove's WorldWar/Colonization and The Great War series.

Try Timonthy Zahn's Conquer's Trilogy.. I think that might be right up your alley..

A other sci-fi series I really enjoyed was Liege-Killer by Christopher Hinz.. 3 books long, wicked series.. Though, I dont know how available it is these days.

Zahn's Star Wars trilogy was pretty good, I thought.

How are the Conqueror books? Seem like space opera.

For some really epic SF battles in space, try W. Michael Gear's books. He's written several and since my steel-trap mind is not letting anything out, try the Spider series (excellent!). His other space titles are very entertaining, too.

Warriors of the Spider
Way of the Spider
and I forget the other one. Check publishing dates as to what came first, hehe. I think Warriors.
