I don't know if this has been the topic of another thread already, so sorry if it is!

Has anyone else read this series? I know most of the people here are into stuff other than Star Wars, but this is a really good, fascinating series, especially since they are doing it in such a cool way with lots of authors contributing one or more books to the series, thereby putting them out really fast. It also has the benefit of not really getting into a "rut" so to speak, because each author brings their own style, tone, and outlook. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone else has read this series and what they think about it.:)

I don't think I've read the latest entries into the series though I do like it so far. In my opinion, the strongest works are Star by Star and Traitor (which is the most recent I've read series wise) and the weakest work is Vector Prime. I snap them up when they come out in paperback so soon I'll be up to date on that.

Here is a Star Wars (http://www.sffworld.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2881) topic that hits upon the NJO.

I think the NJO is a good thing, it promotes a lot of cross-over in that folks who read guys like Stover, Keyes, Sean Williams/Shane Dix will give their NJO books a try and vice versa. I know for a fact a lot of people who have read Stover's Traitor then went on to read his original ficiton.

I've said it before but the books are better than you would expect from media-fiction, but that's due in part to the authors that DelRey & Lucas has brought in.
