I loved the book, right up until after he killed the buggers. Then Card went off on how he couldn't go back to earth, and his sister came to see him, and he wrote the Hive Queen and the Hegemon, etc, etc. It was sort of anti-climactic.

Well, for me, I don't believe it was drawn out so much, but it did almost become a tad predictable, I thought.
Still, it's one of my all-time favourite books and I just the hope the movie (when it finally comes out!) will do it justice!

Back to topic though, I was so enwrapped in the story that It sort of surprised me that he actually did kill the buggers.

I absolutely loved the ending! In fact, that final chapter is what really makes the book so memorable.

Orson Scott Card has the "honor" of being the author of the only book I ever refused to read the ending of.
The book was so bad that I have forgotten the title. Maybe it was Speaker For The Dead.
Ender of course was tormented by older brother Peter for being a "third". I was sorely disappointed when Peter returned to continue that torment.

I'm not reading this now because I'm on page 168 in the book, but trust me, I'm gonna come back here soon.

As I said, I'm back! Now I, believe it or not, thought OCS went on to fast with the ending. He could have at least made it about 50 pages longer. That would have been much better. Why does everybody hate the ending? I thought it was a great part of the book.
