I bought this movie and I think it is the funniest movie I have ever seen. The script is great and all the actor were brilliant. What are your impressions of the movie.

I loved it! But I'm a huge Coen Bros fan so it figures.

"Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing." - The Dude

Side note for Coen Bros fans: they are finally releasing Millers Crossing and a wide screen cut of Barton Fink on DVD.

My favourite part was when John Goodman just loses it and beats the crap out of those guys in the parking lot. I mean, usually guys like that (in movies or real life) are all talk. I loved it.

The narrator was awesome as well.

DONNY
What tied the room together, Dude?

WALTER
Were you listening to the story,
Donny?

DONNY
What--

WALTER
Were you listening to the Dude's
story?

DONNY
I was bowling--

WALTER
So you have no frame of reference,
Donny. You're like a child who
wanders in in the middle of a movie
and wants to know--

DUDE
What's your point, Walter?

WALTER
There's no f@#king reason--here's my
point, Dude--there's no f@#king reason--

DONNY
Yeah Walter, what's your point?

WALTER
Huh?

DUDE
What's the point of--we all know who
was at fault, so what the f@#k are
you talking about?

WALTER
Huh? No! What the f#@k are you
talking--I'm not--we're talking about
unchecked aggression here--

DONNY
What the f@#k is he talking about?

DUDE
My rug.

WALTER
Forget it, Donny. You're out of
your element.

DUDE
This Chinaman who peed on my rug, I
can't go give him a bill so what the
f@#k are you talking about?

WALTER
What the f@#k are you talking about?!
This Chinaman is not the issue! I'm
talking about drawing a line in the
sand, Dude. Across this line you do
not, uh--and also, Dude, Chinaman is
not the preferred, uh. . . Asian-
American. Please.

DUDE
Walter, this is not a guy who built
the rail- roads, here, this is a guy
who peed on my--

WALTER
What the f@#k are you--

DUDE
Walter, he peed on my rug--

DONNY
He peed on the Dude's rug--

WALTER
YOU'RE OUT OF YOUR ELEMENT! This
Chinaman is not the issue, Dude.

Not only is this quite possibly the greatest movie ever made, it also incorporates one of teh best soundtracks going around.

Youre absolutly right Kegasaurus, the songs in that movie are great. The man in me is the perfect song for Dude. When he's driving and drinking and smoking and CCR's looking out my backdoor starts it is so funny.

I spent two years tracking down the Gypsy Kings cover of Hotel California. Possibly the greatest union in musical history.

I always liked 'Just dropped in' by Kenny Rogers.
