I am addicted to the novels. What is it that you wish to know? There is a discussion board that is devoted to Dragon Lance where you will find a lot of people that have encyclopedic knowledge of the saga at http://boards.wizards.com. Select Other Worlds then Dragon Lance books. The best web site for Dragon Lance information is at http://www.dragonlance.com. Why would you start with the Dhaomn saga? That's not the correct place to start. Try starting with Chronicles and Legends.
I currently have approximately 95 Dragon Lance novels and like some more so than others. Like I said earlier - What is it that you wish to know? Ask and you shall receive enlightenment.

I'm a huge fan and, while I don't have nearly as many as jbcohen, I've got most of the required reading. So far, I've only had the chance to read Chronicles, Legends, and then The Next Generation and Dragons of Summer Flame. I just ordered the third War of Souls book to be published in paperback in March...can't wait!
And I finally got my hands on the Elven Nations and Dwarven Nations trilogies. Boy, were those a pain since they're out of print...

oh, also look at my signature line at left its taken from the saga. The wildrunners are the elven military that face off against the forces of Dark Queen Tahsis. The Wildrunners first formed many years before the Chronicles took place under the august founder of one of the two elevn nations, Kith Kahnan (I can't seem to recall the name of the nation at this point). You really do not hear about them until you read the Eleven Nations trillogy, which of course I own copies of.
As far as your reading of the novels goes it looks like you have the main stalk of the saga. I would not recommend that you wait for all of the novels to be delivered before you go on reading the saga. Much of them are quite delightful. You skipped Dragons of a New Age and Bridges of Time. These two sub-series must be read before you read the War of Souls. The Bridges of Time talks about some of the groups that will be walking around in the War of Souls. You have to read all of both before the War of Souls. You have to read about Riverwind and his last act of bravery and the Legion of Steel and Sarah Dunstead.
In the War of Souls Goldmoon will expect you to have read about her dear Riverwind and will not tell you what happened to him. Also the Legion of Steel will walk around in the War of Souls doing some interesting things and will not let you know who they are or why they are doing what the they are doing. You must read the books to get to know them.
Also Dahmon, why is he important? You must read Dragons of a New Age to get to know him Rig Mer-Kel and the rest of the gang. Also Palin will expect you to understand what he has been through in the Dragons of a New Age when you get to read the War of Souls.
Once you have read these two sub-series also go back and read the Preludes and Meetings Sextet. You will read about events that were spoken of on the Chronicles but not fully explained. You will learn why Flint is not crazy about Tas. You will read about Tas being dragged on home by his ear.
Once you have read these then go back further in time and read the Barbarians and learn about how the animosity between humans and Elves first got started. Also read the Kingpriest trilogy and read about the Lightbringer and all of the things that led up to the Cataclysm.
Its a very rich world of Krynn and have fun exploring it you will get to know the races sometimes more intimately then you would like. Sometimes you will feel as if every time you loose something you look around and expect to see tass keeping it safe for you or grumpy old Flint in a corner mumbling something about a ring.
Also try Magic: The Gathering. Its takes place on a world called Dormina and the evil that threatens to take it over from another dimension - the Physerians. You will read bout the Planeswalkers and the Miari and finally about the Phage and the attempt to save her by her brother.
Here is a web page that will fill you in more on Magic: The Gathering if you are so inclined:

My cousin gave me Magic: The Arena... or something like that, i think it was the original book in the series. Anyway, he gave it to me for ride home years ago and i read it every year sometime. If im bored and need to kill 2 hours i just pull it out. Thats the only one i have though.

I'm huge fan of Legends -- it's where I got my username. But I thought the Chronicles were sub-par. However, many disagree and enjoyed them. The character of Raistlin is a very engaging character.

Arena is one of the first generation books and therefore is not representative of the current generation of books. I would recommend that you take a look at the Thran or Brothers War in the Second generation of the Magic: The Gathering books. I think that oyu might find that the second generation is a bit more enjoyable then the first.
