Do anyone know who will be writing the next installment of the Star Wars series? (Star Wars Episode II: The Attack of the Clones)

I think it's Alan Dean Foster.

It is written by R.A. Salvatore. See starwars.com for details.

Whoever they get better actually write a novel and not just rehash what's on the screen! The Phantom Menace was horrible.

The book, The Phantom Menace was great. And so this will be, since it's Salvatore writing it. I know it's of topic but has anybody read his books about Drizzt Do'Urden?

Whoops. My apologies.

R A Salvatore is the auther of SWII:Attack of the Clones novelization.

Alan Dean Foster is the author of
The Approaching Storm (set between SWI and SWII).

Alai: lots of people in the fantasy forum bring Drizzt up quite frequently. I like Demonwars better though.

BTW: I read Salvatore's Vector Prime and was amazed at how well his writing style gels with Star Wars. Timothy Zahn writes cooler stories but Salvatore seems to convey the feel of the movies much better. I guess it's his pacing but anyway, I was impressed. So if you're planning on picking up the Episode 2 novel rest assured, the guy can write Star Wars.

The guy can write anything. Think of a book writen by Salvatore, OSC and Asimov togheter. That would be the day...
