Well. . .. I would like to comment, but since I don't know what series or author you are talking about I am not sure what to say.

I think that Milk has neglected to complete his thought here.

I am in favor of the books. They are very good.

On the other hand I found myself underwhelmingly captivated. The books held me in heartstopping ennui and lacksadaisical passion.

Definitely a might read.

I thought that the characters lacked depth, and that Jordon/Tolkein/Martin has done it all before, much better.

Well it all depends on whether or not you go for braided plots or not. That, and the fact that you have to have a bit of an acquired taste for a heavy blend of Arthurian legend and a Tolkienesque sense of myth. It may seem a bit deep and philosophical at times but one cannot deny the deep emotional involvement one inevitably gets with such intricately drawn characters. In the end I would say that the pervading sense of loss and trauma is sure to draw you in and the various parallels (or allegories if you will) with our own world make for a sociologically important work.

Clearly a New York Times bestseller.

I have mixed feelings about the books; all I can say for sure is that they were a hell of a lot better than anything Goodkind ever did.

I feel they were rushed. I know how much the public wanted them, and the public does put the money into the industry, but for the love of God!! Wait two months then publish. That would have made these books you so intensely questioned about not only much more appealing, but much more lasting.

The books are a great way of intertaiment and learning. Always to be read; never to be burned.
Read as many books of the Series, as you can; you never grow tired of them.
