SF animated short film needs feedback

Hi. I haven't posted here before, but this seem like the right place. I have
recently completed a rather ambitious science fiction animated short called
"The Tao of Space" which I am preparing for a wide-scale web launch. I would
like to insure that it is really ready for prime time, so I am soliciting
feedback from the science fiction community as sort of a QC check. You are
all welcome to come and view it at http://www.spanishcastle.com (visit the
Ocean of Infinity from there and then just follow the links) and leave your
comments. (you can reach me here or at feedback@spanishcastle.com)

Since everyone here has a strong interest in science, I would be interested
in feedback regarding the science of the Tao of Space. Feel free to point
out any errors you might find.

Other questions I have:

Does it hold your interest? Is the pacing too slow, too fast, or...?

How does it perform on your machine? (please include machine specs with any
comments in this regard)

Did you understand the story? How did it make you feel?

Was the sound/music appropriate for the mood of the film?

Any other thoughts you might have are, of course, welcome.

Thanks in advance to all of you who take the time to visit and share your
thoughts.

Well, I watched it.. And I really liked it. It was quite good. Now, to answer some of your more specific questions. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

Time? I thought the intro was a bit long, I use to flash movie going quickly into the story. But, after that part, I found the pacing decent. At times, it was a lil slow with all the different angles of the ships (Which, were pretty cool).

Machine? Some of the scenes were jerky. I dont know if this was just cause of Flash, or my machine. I am running a PII 350, 256 Ram, 32 Meg Video Card, and Cable connection. The scenes that were jerky were mostly of the ships moving through space.

Story? I liked it.. alot. I'm still thinking about it, which, is always a good sign of a story. It makes you think after the story is done. Excellent.. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

Music/Sound? I found the music to be a bit repetitive.. If I had to choose one thing I didnt like, this would be it. For most of the space scenes, it was that same tune over and over. While it did work for it, I just noticed it after awhile. As to SOund, at first, i was going to say their wasnt enough of it. Then, when the dude entered the atmosphere, and you heard the roar of the jet pack, I thought to myself. "DOH! Their is no sound in space!" And, when I came to that realization, I didnt mind at all.

Misc? Excellent. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif I enjoy finding stuff like this on the 'Net!
