For those who read this book by C.S Friedman, what did u think? and how does it compare to other books like this(maybe snow crash and Gibson's stuff)?

This book was pretty good, IMO. I'm a big Friedman fan and have read all her work. I don't know how it compares to Gibson's work, but it's pretty different from Firedman's other books. It's my least favorite but I still liked it. I just prefer some of CSF earlier work.

I liked it, though it dragged a bit at times. I liked Coldfire more. I wouldn't compare this to Snow Crash at all, two different types of books.

well, i just thought that how friedman goes into the computer stuff was more interesting than how gibson or stephenson did it. I mean most of the time when i read how people would hack in the future, its a little too virtual reality. I mean, that just doesn't seem original or even believable at all.

I also like coldfire, but what was the name of that other book about aliens invading earth and a certain human who wasn't really a normal human called again?(a little vague but i dont want to give the book away...)
I liked that one alot.

That book's title is The Madness Season.
