need info on short story

I am looking for a short story which may be titled "a view through
a window". I saw a version of it on Night Visions on the scifi channel. On tv ice cubes were tossed into a time barrier until it
opened at intervals. At the end of the show the main character
jumped through the barrier and was eaten by human looking but
alien race. The original short story used orange ice cubes. I really
want to find a copy of it. I need the author and title if not the same as the tv version. Any info appreciated.Thanks.

You have the episode title correct. It's based on a short story by Bob Leman. His stuff is pretty good but weird. A book that might have this story is
