If you want to talk platform games, I'll take the castlevania series (symphony of the night, in particular), the mario games (exluding 64, which I didn't like), and what is possibly the best platformer ever made, Super Metroid. The Crash games were fun, but I've played better in the platformer department.

It's a bit hit or miss with CB, the GBA one was excellent, but the latest one was dire. Sonic and Mario are far superior.
