The time has arrived for me to move on from SFF. I have decided to once more step down as an Administrator of SFF. This time it will be permanent. My discission is no reflection on any Admin, Mod or Member... I am not longer having fun here. It is more and more of a chore to log on... this is MY problem, not anyone elses. If I can't work up an interest any more, it is unfair of me to hold on to the position when others are more than willing to take up the task. :)

I have had good fun here, I will miss a lot of you... however, some I will still see at CA. But for now... tata. :)

Aw come on Cad... I thought you liked it when I got mad! How was I to know you were so easily frightened off!?

Mind you... there's that Pepe Le Pew thing... if you have to go at least go knowing... there's a sheep out there who'll never forgive you for that!

He's leaving the playroom in OUR hands????

Hi Cad,

Sorry to see you go again. Perhaps I can catch up with you elsewhere?

All the best,

Neil

Cadfael, I am very sorry to see you leave. You were always part of this place's magic for me. But a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do.:(

I'm going to miss your Avatar!

So friendly, yet rugged, yet fatherly, yet dangerous!

Good luck :)

Farewell Cad. Your presence here contributed greatly to the unique and wonderful character of these boards. You will be missed.

Understand every word you said Cad, been there. Being a Mod and Admin is hard work. You can't please everyone and you get the backlash for actions that are not yours, those of fellow mods and members.

It does get to the point where the fun goes and only the work is left. You become jaded and in a way bitter. Angry at the time it is taking you to plough through, what was once fun, which has now become waffle. After I stepped down on SFI I didn't post for over two months.

Didn't think folks would miss me, I still lurked and kept in touch with friends, but the posting madness had gone.

I have started to post again, but never in the way I had before the magic has gone and I see only the fools. Not their fault, I got too close, too deep into something that turned out to be not what I wanted or needed.

I think ones participation in a forum goes through stages. First one lurks, then posts a little. Then you start posting more, it becomes a sort of need to post to put your ideas, comments and laughter on the boards. Then it fades to a comfortable stage, where you post in batches. One day a lot, one day little. But you are there when you can be. Sometimes it stays like that. But sometimes you hit the "what am I doing this for wall" and you drop back to lurking and fading away.

Think you hit the wall, Cad.

Will miss you and drop into see you elsewhere when I can, though the next month or so I am, myself not going to be around that much.....

Sorry to see you leave the staff roll mate. It'll be hard to find someone to fill your considerable shoes.
Although the underlings are probably lining up as we speak!

At least I can come and haunt you at your place. Crack a few skulls and quaff some ale at the tavern!

I'm so sad to here that, Cad. You're one of the first ones I knew here in this place.

this thread is turning sappy soon....

But that doesn't change the fact that you'll be missed :(
