What is the cheapest decent sci-fi/fantasy book you've bought? i saw some Wheel of Time books for 50p.

Maya... you were robbed! http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

I find a lot of books on the market stalls, the cheapest I have bought was an Inspector Morse omnibus for 40p. I also haunt a lot of charity shops, looking for good bargains.

I am a member of quite a few book clubs, recently I took up the suggestion of one of our more 'devious' members... I cancelled my subscription to World Books, and then used one of the adverts in the Sunday press to rejoin, taking advantage of their introductory offer, I got Wilbur Smith's Warlock for 1p !!!! http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif and a collection of Peter Straub short stories for 10p.

I often go to the Library Discard sales. They have them about every 6 months or so. I've got heaps of books here for 10-20 cents (Australian) - depends on who's adding up and how well they know me. Of course, they're not in pristine condition but they're great for books that you might just enjoy and not really absolutely love.

I also picked up A Game of Thrones for $2 from a cheapie table at a bookstore and didn't realize at the time what a treat I was in for - and what a bargain I'd got.
