What's the last movie you saw and what did you think of it?

Thin Red Line. I thought it was good movie, just not quite what I expected. There is some great acting in the film, and I thought the narration was outstanding. I'd like to watch it again because I feel like there are probably some subtleties I missed the first time.

Sinbad, Legend of the seven seas.

Saw it with my kid and thought it was really good. It got slated by the critics as a flop. What do they know?

In the Cinema it was "Matrix Reloaded". (you don't want to know what I thought of it)

On DVD "Reign of Fire" and "28 Days Later", two films similar conceptually in the "after the apocalypse" scenario.
One with dragons, one with super fast zombies.

28 Days Later best of the 3 IMHO.

On the idiot box - The Thin Red Line I thought it was good enough to watch to the end . just !

On DVD rental - One Hour Photo , not what I was expecting at all . Robin Williams played his part exceptionally well , still don't know how I feel about this one .

At the Cinema - X-MEN 2 , Excellent !!:)

The last film I saw was Terminator 3, which was very good, could have been a bit harsher but was only a 12a so lost a lot of the killing and stuff!

The last DVD I saw was Gangster No. 1 which was really very good

At the cinema - Charlie's Angels 2 (if I had to start telling you what I think of it I'd most likely end up cursing in all the languages I know and maybe in a few I don't know)

On DVD - Donnie Darko, I never intended watching this film, but a friend of mine insisted, so I gave it a go, all I can say is thank goodness I was sober. Black Hawk Down (I believe my brother conned me into watching this piece of utter nonsense).

On TV - Vanilla Sky was on last night, it irritated me to the point of wanting to put my foot through the screen, then I realised there are other channels to choose from & ended up watching the last bit of Glory before switching my brain off & watching a bunch of oversized gorrilas pretend to beat each other up on WWE (hehe, I love WWE - nothing better on Sunday night than watching grown men behave like toddlers)

Babes what is Donnie Darko about?

As far as I could figure out, it's about a schizo 16 year old guy who might have super powers, might be able to alter the space-time continuum, has his life saved by a man-sized demonic bunny, ends at a different version of the beginning, the end of the world, philosophy and religion and dysfunctional families and satire and so many other things. Very dark film.

I still don't know what actually happens in the film. But believe me, it's just as discussable as Memento, if not more so.

I mean, what movie do you know of that requires the viewer to find a fictional book on the internet that was written by one of the characters in the movie (an ex-nun, ex-teacher, now insane old granny) just to be able to understand a bit about what was happening? What a mind fnuck.
