CONAN: The TV Series

I stumbled on this DVD whilst trying to bolster my Fantasy movie collection. So I bought it last night and watched it.

Oh dear, oh dear. Poor acting, TV toned-down violence (with no blood would you believe, not that I am a nutter or anything) and creature SFX that make Doctor Who look cutting edge.

Avoid, unless you are a die-hard Conan fan. It's a bit like Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, but without the humour and great creatures.

I'm surprised that it's so hard to find an actor who actually looks like him.

On DVD? Puh, it was enought to watch it on TV once. ;)
Why do they always have to do these cheesy fantasy series? Like Beastmaster, a hero half dressed, an evil sorcerer (or sorceress, also half dressed) and so on . . .

Really, Xena and Herc were much more fun to watch and some of those stories were even good. :p

But I like Ralf Möller. *g*

guess I'm just hooked on the comic book interpretation of him.
