Hellboy?? And Cal McDonald..

Anyone read Hellboy? What is it all about? I keep looking at, and wondering if I should pick it up.


Also, anyone reading Cal McDonald by Dark Horse? Wow, what a great mystery title. Set in L.A., it has that total Noir feeling of a Private Detective story, but, throw in Ghouls, Vampires, Werewolves, and other assortment of oddities.

I am wondering also if anyone has read anyting of Cal but from IDW publishing? I might order some of them.

Also, check out 30 Nights Graphic Novel, done by the same fine folks who are doing Cal McDonald. They also just released a sequel of sorts called 30 Days.. which is great.

I really quite like Hellboy. Tha art feels just right and any comic that can mix up Demons, Nazis and Rasputin gets my vote. The only problem I have with it is that sometimes the individual stories seem a bit thin, but hey, I would still recommend it.
