Terry Goodking – His first 3 books in the “A Sword of Truth” was great. But then the author forgot the story. He began with preaching, boring chapters, repeating story lines and a hero that never did wrong. And now I have plans to sell all mine HC books.

Robert Jordan – His 7 first book was Excellent. But the author started to love words, especially the chapters where the characters is sitting around wondering what to do next. So he started to write books that felt like a long prologue.

George R. R. Martin – Mine favorite author, 3 excellent books in his “Song of Fire” series. But will he ever finish book 4 or the series?

L. E. Modesitt jr. – The first 7 books in the Recluse saga was very Good (except maybe ”The towers of the sunset”) But he to started writing books with similar storeys to the previews books.

But still..
little problems with Robin Hobb, Kate Elliott, Tad Williams and Rowling.

This is yet another reason I really like stand-alones. A lot of authors dwindle if given time.

So, you no longer like ASOIAF simply because it's taking a while for AFFC to be released? Please.

I'm starting to get the same feelings.

Well I still like what I can remember of the series so far but waiting so long has made me lose interest in it. I will not enjoy book four as much as the previous and heck the lack of interest and being unable to remember the different characters and plots may make me no longer like the series. So Whats so hard to believe?

well, I'm not as keenly dying to read A Feast For Crows as I was at the end of book 3, but I'll still buy it as soon as I see it. (probably read it in a week too but oh well)

Caldazar(Even though I wasn't addressing you)-

So, you like WoT for all it's slow-paced drudgery and dragged-out release dates, yet dislike ASOIAF simply because AFFC has been a little long in the making? I don't quite see the logic behind this.

From a purely curious standpoint(not an antagonistic one) I am wondering the same thing BenIII asked you, Cal.

Most fantasy series have a wait of 1-2 years between books. That is what i'm used to and I find that an acceptable wait. I can usually still remember most things in that amount of time. Longer than that and I lose interest.

I did not say I dislike aSoIaF. The wait could lead to that though. Which is what I quite clearly said in my post.

Why must I repeat myself? Do you people actually read my posts ??

Within the past several weeks, I've read the first two books of ASOIAF. I have book three sitting on my shelf, and I can't yet bring myself to reading it. I'm sure my curiousity as to the various character's fates will move me to getting to it....but it hasn't occured yet.

Instead, I'm reading a Clive Cussler stand-alone. Oh well.
