Just a quick question about submitting work. I have not been writing long, not even finished anything yet, but I am just about to close my first short story.

Once I have edited it I would like to submit it here to get some feedback/critique.

My question is this: if I submit my story here, will I still be able to submit it to a magazine/e-zine, assuming it's good enough(preferably a paying one:p )?

Hello pdb,

Congratulations on almost completing your first tale.

If you are serious about getting published, it is best NOT to submit your work, as many publishers will not touch work if it has appeared online.

If you want critique, offer to email your story to interested members here at SFFW, they will more often than not give you some excellent feedback.

Hope that helps.

Juzz

Thanks.:)

I'll finish editing it and come back for some feedback then.

How do I go about it, just post and ask? Or is there a more formal way?

I think its just a general hazing; spanking and the like. Make sure you have your best tie on.

Just up this thread again and I'm sure you will get some responses.

As you have taken my advice, this thread is no longer of use so I will close it.

Heed KATS' words though pdb.
