My favorite mythology is norse mythology, but it's hard to say why, i just like their style, but every mythology has great stories.

I've always preferred Greek mythology simply because I liked the names of the Gods better.

me too, the stories are more interesting than Roman ones.

One problem with Roman mythology is that those gods that feature in it are mostly copies of the Greek gods.
There are elements in the Roman religion that are purely Roman but those have no mythology at all, they are rather more abstract or in some cases animistic.

I like Christian mythology... the Jesus story is a great one... and angels and demons have been treated very well in a few stories and are great fun to play with. It's done well in This Present Darkness by Peretti. Of course there's the HUGE drawback that the mythology refers to a currently popular religion, and some such books are just propaganda... hard to blame that on the mythology itself though.
