It happened this mourning about 9:15. This has been confirmed.
Also theres an uncomfirmed report that Iraq fired a missle into Kuwait.

At the moment, pilots do not understand how the engine separated from the plane unless there was an explosion, but the details are sketchy. Some witnesses indicate they saw smoke before the crash. They have uncovered the black box, however. Anything is possible.

I don't know for sure about Kuwait, either, but considering Hussein's tactics, it wouldn't surprise me in the least. There now seem to be some clear links to Iraq and 9/11. America is sending major troops to the same bases used during Desert Storm, possibly indicating a new involvement after the Taliban extremists and al Qaeda are destroyed, which seems imminent.
