Whose read this fine series? I really enjoyed, but, I am confused at the ending?

How were the Malakim defeated? I know Red Shoes was possessed by one of the two first Malakim..but, I was just confused at how they were defeated.

Can someone clear this up for me?? :)

I liked the series alot, too. Gotta find my copy of the book and skim it over.

I want to say Ben Franklin had a hand in it, but can't remember the specifics.
