What do you think about all these secondary mutations being introduced? Some of the things are alright, but some seem a little off.

Some X-Men's mutations are a by-product of their primary mutations
Storm's immunity to weather, Archangel's hollow bones, Gambit's night vision...

I'm not sure about them... seemed like a bit of a cheap trick to me, I mean why would it suddenly happen? The only one they've really used is Angel's healing blood anyway...

Not liking the fact Iceman is now stuck in ice form either.

I know that it started with the comic writers trying to show how mutations can affect the everyday life but many comic writers these days often lack that knowledge due to not really knowing about the characters they are writing about. e.g. Scott Lobdell

I didn't know any of these, haven't been reading any lately, what other secondary mutations are there? Sounds like an interesting twist, but maybe struggling for story lines...
