Alan Dean Foster's Spellsinger series is quite funny, one of the character is a randy otter... also the lead character is called Jon Thomas... if you live in the UK, you will understand the connotation there.
However... the books are not all that 'naughty'... http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif
Er... I just noticed this author was in the original list... sorry http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/frown.gif

The author may have been mentioned already since I don't know his/her name, but there's a sereis out there somewhere called BORED OF THE RINGS, a spoof of Tolkien.

Vroomfondel... yeh! This book was originaly published under the author name of The Harvard Lampoon... and I think still is. The paperback is due for re-release soon. Check out Amazon.
It is sooooo funny. Don't matter if you hate Tolkien or love him... it is still worth a read.

DennizM: I know this is backdated, but if you liked the first Discworld bk, read the second ('The Light Fantastic') as it is basically a continuation of the first. Admittedly the recent stuff is v poor in comparison, but I'd also SINCERELY recommend 'Guards, guards!' to anyone. Very keen observation on human nature there.
Has anyone mentioned Neil Gaiman here?
Sammie.

Sammie... I hate Terry Pratt-chet, and I have tried... but he just turns me off. But that IS only my opinion.

Neil Gaiman (who was just 'almost' mentioned.)
Catherine Jinks (Shorter books for YA. Her 'Pagan's Vows' was a sensational romp thru the head of one young man whose only defence against stupidity was internal sarcasm.)

Did anyone read The Elephants on Neptune by Mike Resnick? It won a short story contest at Asimov's. Used to be on line but it is gone. Very funny.
What about John Ringo? As an example, he has a nice little recipe here that you might like to try at home:
