does anyone know of any good fantasy artists? i'm really in to amy brown, brian froud, david delamare, marc potts, jonathan bowser, and a few others. i'm looking for some more artwork in this genre, so if you know of any artists or websites or books that have anything similar, let me know!

Jim Burns is a good fantasy artist, although he's better known for his science fiction imagery. It's very detailed and realistic. Boris Vallejo is very well-known in the fantasy art genre, he was influenced by Frank Frazetta. John Howe and Alan Lee have done some great watercolour artwork for "Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit" etc. I also like the work of Tim White. He paints in gouache, and pays a lot of attention to detail in his backgrounds, showing every blade of grass, every pebble, every grain of sand. There's a book of Tim White's work on Amazon.com called "Chiaroscuro". You can find a book of Jim Burns' work on Amazon too. It's called "Transluminal". I hope to become a fantasy artist myself, although I've never painted a dragon in my life. I did a couple of pictures of Gormenghast castle, on display on this website.

Every art lover (especially sf and fantasy) should be sure to check the following site out (and buy something too!)

Alan Lee, Brian Froud, The Garlands they're all there!
My favourite artist is Ciruelo Cabral, since I received a book called The Book of the Dragon for my 11th birthday years ago that was illustrated by him! He's great on dragon art. I wanna get his Dark Dragon framed in my room (hope i don't get nightmares!)
