I am part of the editorial board in my school magazine. We are trying to make the mag hip and cool and mostly original (and it is not as easy as it may sound). So all suggestions are really welcome. remeber the target for this mag are student 15-19 years old.

Polls. Music Charts. What's On column. Cheap eats. Free bands, readings, comedians, playing locally. Satire news stories taking off anybody in power. Comic strips. Good links. Interviews with staff or students over current issues. Lampoons. A short story.

Title? ER... Asparagus Soup? The Mashed Marrow? (Veggies are funny). Or a spoonerism: Watched Birds (Botched Words), Rude Gnat (Nude Rat), Hot Gnocchi (Not Hockey)... er... I see you asked for cool, not silly.... sorry.
