Kamelot or Rhapsody, anyone?

Well, I've recently bought a couple of new epic fantasy metal albums. One is "The Fourth Legacy" by Kamelot, and the other is "Legendary Tales" by Rhapsody.
They're both great!! I've been listening to them a whole lot.
My favorite song on Kamelot's Fourth Legacy
album is "The Fourth Legacy" and my favorite song on Rhapsody's Legendary Tales album is "Flames of Revenge".
Does anyone else here on this board like either of these bands?

I've never heard of either them. I have to admit, even the genre of epic fantasy metal is new to me. Where did you discover them or where can I find examples to get a feel for the style?

Well, HClark, I discovered these type of metal bands from hearing about them on this board. Some groups that are examples of these are Blind Guardian, Domine, Manowar, Helloween, Crystal Eyes, Statovarius, Nocturnal Rites, Hammerfall, and Iced Earth.
You can look their names up either at amazon.com or cdnow.com under the popular music category and you should find them. Plus they have some music samples there that you can listen to to hear what the band is like. I hope this helps!!

Listing some pretty classic metal bands there: (Big metal fan myself you know). BTW, if you like Kamelot, you really should check out a band called Conception. Roy Khan sang in Conception before they broke up and he joined Kamelot. But Conception is much MUCH better. Check out the cd "In Your Multitude"(1995). Great stuff.
