Here it is, a thread where we can discuss all our random ramblings and questions, without taking the other threads way off topic.
For example, in the "Is Loras Tyrell gay" thread, we're discussing issues that Jaime and Tyrion have with eachother!
I think we should try and do that in here for awhile. :)

Good idea!
Here's a question:
What do you think about the idea that Gendry is Robert's true heir since none of his children with Cersei are his? Gendry was his firstborn right? Maybe some will start to back him. Maybe Stannis?

Stannis won't back him cause he is a bastard and bastards don't become heir!

Surely Stannis is Robert's true heir. Anyway he would never back Gentry, it just wouldn't happen.

The king would have to legitimize Gendry for him to become an heir, which would mean that in Stannis' eyes, Stannis himself would have to do it. If Stannis that that, then Gendry would become his closest male relative, and thus, HIS heir, until Stannis has a son.

I think Stannis has a legitimized Bastard of Robert right at hand, doesn't he?
The one Melissandre wanted to slaughter for the awakening of the dragon.
Maybe Gendry will fall in love with Arya - if he isn't already.
These two would make a nice pair. I think he's the only male who could understand her murderous mature from first hand experience and deal with it.

Ya, but isn't Arya in the free cities now? There was no msn back then, so how can they actually get a relationship?

Stannis wants to sacrifice him, so there wouldn't be much point in legitimizing him beforehand. I believe Stannis also uses Edric's illegitimicy as one of his excuses to sacrifice him. He's only one bastard!

But didn't Stannis decide not to sacrifice Edric?

But didn't Stannis decide not to sacrifice Edric? Yeah, eventually, but he hasn't yet gone full circle into making him his heir.
