Ho, ho, ho...the twelfth month of the year - whether it be summer or winter for you! :D
So....what have you read, or what are you going to read, bearing in mind 'the season of goodwill' is nearly upon us?

Technically, it's still November here, but since I'll be reading this book mostly in December, I'll list it here. I just started Across the Nightingale Floor.

Currently reading The War of the Flowers by Tad Williams, having just finished Michael Moorcock's Elric books. So far, so good, though I have to admit I've enjoyed the parts of the story set on earth more so far the bits in Faerie land. Still, an interesting take on the whole fairyland concept.

I don't know what to do. My reading habbit is a mess. It used to be so much easier, reading one book after another - now I go against my mind and again am at reading three books at the same time . . . :(
Blade of Tyshalle by Stover, Curse of Chalion by Bujold (for the Book Club) and The Baghdad Blog by Salam Pax.
All three are interesting.
Well, at least I know what will be one of my wishes for 2004: read one book after another again - and read more quickly!

The Return of the King! I just read The Battle of the Pelennor Fields 2-1/2 times last night. Incredible! After that, I think it will be Dreamcatcher by Stephen King.

I started Luck in the Shadows the first in the Nightrunner series by Lynn Flewelling last night, upon the general recommendations on this site! So far, it is a bit predictable, but I am sure it will pick up as I really liked the Bone dolls twin.

Finishing up Restoration by Carol Berg, excellent characterization, seems to be hitting a slight dead spot about 2/3 through, hoping it will pick up.
No earthly idea what's next.

Started reading Robin Hobb's Assassin's Apprentice after some good reviews on this site.
So far, a little slow to get my attention, but Hobb is a good writer.

Finished up Nile Shadows by Edward Whittemore.
Started The Drawing of the Dark. So far, great.

Plodding through the Silmarillion one page at a time. It's starting to move a bit faster now (after page 100). Still a bit of a struggle.
For a "lighter" read, I'm re-reading "A Game of Thrones" which I read about 6 years ago and didn't like, so didn't read on in the series. It's better the second time around now that I've read more fantasy and am not these days wishing that everything was LOTR or WOT.
