It's gonna be chaos and they will be be forced to unite, all the while bickering between themselves.

Still hard to believe Stannis is gonna be the big hero. Maybe he and Jon are to be Dany's dragon riders.

Just had a brainwave: Where better for Bran to sat than on the back of a dragon! Depends on this three-eyed crow thing though.

Have to correct you milamber_R :

There is no chance in *ell that Stannis will be the hero, for now he is a selfish man who only want's the realm and besides that he is a false messiah who himself knows that he has no power whatsoever. The only power shown is Mellisandres and it ain't light, I would bet that she is a Shadowbinder and believes in no god herself. Doesn't birthing shadows suggest that she is a shadowbinder and not a champion of light.

The real messiah might be dany, who has said that the new messiah must be a he !!! (That i hadn't thought about before :) )

But as Melisandre said: Shadows are made because of light.
However I thinks she's evil none the less.

Bran would make a cool dragonrider.

I like the idea of Jon being a dragon rider and Bran as well - he gets to fly that way. Else he might find his own "dragon" that enables him to fly (which is not necessarily an actual dragon)
I'm babbling

I don't think Martin will enable Bran to fly on his own. However, the Bran as a dragonrider makes perfect sense.

I certainly believe the various plots will converge. I don't however think will see a formal alliance between any of the factions. I just can't see the Starks and Lannisters sitting down and saying, "okay lets put our differences aside for a while and fight the Others." Not only is there too much animosity, but it would just be too easy to wrap things up that way. As for Dany, I just don't know about her. She's a little off, if you know what I mean. I can't see her treating of the other factions as equals long enough to make an alliance.

Was there not a mention of the Chosen of R'hlor waking dragons from stone? Well, isn't this what Dany did at the end of AGoT? Everyone was of the impression that the eggs were fossilised but, lo and behold, she became the Mother of Dragons as a result.

I think Bran will fly a dragon (crow with three eyes / three-headed dragon - any connection? maybe not …)

I think Dany is being groomed to rule Westeros. As the Targaryen heir she is the only one to unite Westeros after the rift caused by Robert's war. The interesting thing will be who she marries, and whether she survives.

I think the two plots will remain seperate for most of the series (that's my vote), but they will convene to some extent towards the end. Melissandre has to be evil, lying and scheming. And look at Beric and Catelyn: That lord of light is hardly a loving god of life. Where as the elk-rider (an Other?) might actually be a good guy ...

I think Lannisters and Starks could make some sort of peace. Cercei won't survive the game of thrones, and that leaves Tyrion, always the clever one, and a changed Jamie.

I'll need to read it again, dagnabbit!

I think Martin has a very clear idea in his head about how this is going to end. However I refuse to vote. The vote is obviously pointless and aside from that the options are narrow, limited, and I think they are all wrong. Aside from that I think votes like this are silly and should be discontinued.

Bran is a warg. For Bran to fly he can just mind-control an eagle or a raven or a dragon for that matter. He doesn't need to be on top of a dragon in the sky to fly.
