I want to start this thread just so people can point out other members they think deserve mentioning, maybe a certain degree of notoriety. Maybe start a vote for most noticeable/ friendliest/ whatever you can think of contributors to this forum. It could also serve as a bit of a who's who list for new members, so they have an idea of some of the forum's history without having to read through all the old posts.

To start the ball rolling, I think Qin has certainly made himself noticeable. Whether you agree with him or not, you have to admit he adds to discussions. I've seen him start some pretty huge "discussions" since I signed on here, most notably when he turned my "Lame Villains" thread into a heated 100+ post debate over the validity of fantasy.

I also want to mention and thank FitzFlagg, who has lived up to his moderator duty by saving me from my own clumsiness and vulgarity on several occasions.

Thanks saintjon. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/wink.gif

I won't mention any since I don't want to introduce any biases. http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif

Hmmm.. interesting request, and hard to choose because I like just about everyone here. I've been reading the board regularly for a little over a year and I feel that everyone adds something to the forums. The range of personalities always keeps the discussions lively.

I'd have to commend SueF for her contributions to a wide variety of posts. She always has something interesting to say on just about everything. I've got good recommendations for books, jazz music and beer from her. Thanks Susan!

JohnH provides thought provoking posts and eloquently written replies. I wish I could write so well! http://www.sffworld.com/ubb/smile.gif He contributes to this discussion forum by making us think beyond who our favorite author/book is.

Yeah, it's not like I'm a favoritist or anything. I just wanted to provide a spot for giving a shout-out to somebody or whatever you might think a person deserves mention for. I guess I'm trying to promote appreciation of the verbal kind. (Too much of the silent type going around these days)

I think Darth V and Allanon are very kind, energetic, and campassionate people.
