Jack Sparrow....only a ladies' man?

Kanin's disappointment in Sparrow led me to ask the question....does Capt. Jack Sparrow appeal primarily to ladies, or do gents find him equally fascinating?

I voted & thought he appealed mainly to women primarily because its Johnny Depp playing the character which is probably not what Johnny would want to hear but lets face it he is a genius & apart from that I fancy him.
My husband doesn't though.
