I didn't know if this subject would fit under the fantasy or sci-fi forums so I've posted it here.
I really enjoy the Indiana Jones movies, I've liked them ever since I was a little kid. Now I've read that one of George Lucas' main influences in making the Indiana Jones movies was pulp adventure novels.
Now I am wondering, could anyone please tell me if there are any action/adventure novels out there that are similar in story to the Indiana Jones movies?

You NEED to read "The Tomb" by F. Paul Wilson
It's the first Repairman Jack novel. He is hands down my favorite single character in any work of fiction I know of. The whole experience of reading it reminded me very much of Indiana Jones, even though it's set in the eighties... and Jack isn't an archaeologist, he's... well... you'll have to read it...

If it aint broke, don't fix it... but if it is broke... find who broke it, and make him pay...
